Christians Pelhrimov has more than 60 members

We are a community of people from Pelhrimov and the surrounding area, united by faith in Jesus Christ. Each of us has a different story, different experiences, and a different path, but we believe that in God a person finds true meaning, hope, and a new beginning.

We do not believe that people can earn God's acceptance through their own abilities, good behavior, or by becoming "good enough." We believe God loves people as they are, and that he showed his love most clearly through Jesus Christ. Jesus came into the world, died for human sin, and through his sacrifice opened the way to forgiveness and a personal relationship with God for everyone who receives him.

This good news is the foundation of our faith and of the life of the whole church. Faith is not only part of Sunday or a religious tradition for us. We want to follow Jesus in everyday life: in our families, work, school, and relationships with the people around us.

We are a church that seeks to use current tools and technology so that we can be as close and understandable to people as possible. We regularly livestream our services and try to create an environment that makes sense even for people who are just beginning to explore faith or are coming to church for the first time.

Music and shared worship are an important part of our gatherings. We believe music can encourage people, draw them closer to God, and create space for both quiet reflection and joy. Our services include live music and modern songs focused on worshiping God.

We have long-term partnerships with churches and organizations in the Czech Republic, the United States, and Ukraine. Through these relationships, various shared projects, conferences, camps, and other events for children, youth, and adults take place. Every year, hundreds of believing and non-believing children and adults take part in these events, where they can meet new people, experience a friendly environment, and hear the gospel in an understandable way.

Our story began in 2006 with the founding of the Biblical Theological Seminary. Over time, a community of students formed, along with the first shared events, camps, and regular gatherings. In the following years we met in several locations before settling in Starý Pelhřimov, where our church and the Biblical Theological Seminary now operate.

Our campus also includes the Little Bible Museum, which presents historic Bible translations, rare exhibits, and the story of how the Bible was formed and spread through history. Almost 1,000 people from across the Czech Republic visit the museum each year.

Today Christians Pelhrimov is made up of more than 60 members and other people who regularly take part in the life of our community. Even as we grow, we want to keep what matters most: a personal approach, openness, a friendly atmosphere, and simple faith centered on Jesus Christ.

What we believe

The foundation of our faith

Jesus Christ

Statement of faith

Jesus Christ

At the center of our faith is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became human to offer people forgiveness, rescue, meaning for life on earth, and future eternal life in his presence.

We believe the Bible

Statement of faith

We believe the Bible

We believe the Bible is God's word and that God makes himself known through this book. We believe the whole Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is breathed out by God, without error in the original manuscripts, and is the perfect revelation of God's will for human salvation and the final authority for Christian faith and life.

We believe in God

Statement of faith

We believe in God

We believe in one God, who in his wisdom and power is the Creator of all things. He is perfect in his omnipotence and omniscience, knowing all things past, present, and future. He eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe humanity...

Statement of faith

We believe humanity...

We believe God created human beings in his image, in a state of innocence. Through free choice, humanity sinned against God and brought condemnation upon the human race.

We believe in Christ's work

Statement of faith

We believe in Christ's work

We believe Jesus Christ became human without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary according to the Old Testament Scriptures. His perfect and sinless sacrifice offers forgiveness of sins and a personal relationship with God. His bodily resurrection gives hope of resurrection and eternal life to all who follow him.

We believe in the church

Statement of faith

We believe in the church

We believe the church is the community of all who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and have been born again through the Holy Spirit. We believe Christ established two ordinances for the local church: believers' baptism and the Lord's Supper.
